Brijuni archipelago is a national park situated 7 kilometers from Pula (a road, rail, air and maritime center). It is situated 280 km from Zagreb, 120 from Trieste or 100 from Rijeka. The islands can be reached only by a boat from Fazana, which is the terminal for the frequent connections by boat (15 minute ride).

You can reach Fazana from Pula (7 km by road) either by taxi or by bus. Buses run daily from Pula each hour starting from 5.30 until 21.35.
Pula has an airport and it is connected with Zagreb each day (except Saturday) by one or two flights by Croatia Airlines (www.croatiaairlines.hr). For July 2007, the time-table is the following:

There are also international flights by Croatia Airlines from/to Pula (Frankfurt, Amsterdam, London, Brussels, Munich, Paris, Zurich), as well as some charter flights. You should check with Your local travel agency.
Pula can also be reached by a fast boat from Venice. You can find more information on www.venezialines.com (check also their line Venice-Rovinj). The company Commodore travel (http://www.commodore-travel.hr/, commodore-travel@pu.htnet.hr, ++385 52 211 631 ) runs lines Venice-Pula every Wednesday (7.15 from Pula, 17.00 from Venice), Venice-Rovinj every Sunday (8.00 from Rovinj, 17.00 from Venice) and Venice-Porec every Tuesday and Friday (7.30 from Porec, 17.00 from Venice)
There are numerous buses from Italy to Pula. There is a regular bus line from Trieste 4 times a day at 9.00 , 14.00 , 16.15 , 18.00. Also a line Padova-Mestre(Venezia)-Trieste-Pula. Pula is also connected by buses with Porec (more then 6 times a day), Rovinj and Rijeka (more then 20 times a day) and Zagreb (more than 12 times a day).
